Geschichte

Das 2011 gegründete Weingut Qimerioni produziert Weine von außergewöhnlicher Qualität aus Weinbergen in der renommierten Weinregion Kachetien, im Bezirk Gurjaani, im Dorf Chumlakhi. Der Name leitet sich von dem Kunstcafé "Qimerioni" ab, das am 28. Dezember 1919 in Tiflis, der Hauptstadt Georgiens, von einer Gruppe berühmter georgischer Dichter und Künstler eröffnet wurde und für eine breite Palette künstlerischer Aktivitäten wie Dichterlesungen, Ausstellungen und andere Darbietungen gedacht war.

Qimerioni konzentriert sich bei seiner Tätigkeit auf die traditionellen georgischen Rebsorten Saperavi, Rkatsiteli und Kisi und respektiert dabei die alten Traditionen des georgischen Weinanbaus.
