    Geschichte

    Der Winzer Joseph Wagner, der in fünfter Generation in Napa lebt, begann vor zehn Jahren, seine eigenen preisgekrönten Weine zu keltern. 2014 gründete er das Label Copper Cane, das die Essenz des kalifornischen Terroirs einfängt. Er ist der jüngste Sohn von Chuck Wagner, der in den 1960er Jahren das berühmte Caymus Vineyard in Napa gründete. Beran ist Josephs Linie von großartigen Zinfandels, die nach den mächtigen Bären benannt sind, die in den Wildnisgebieten des Golden State leben.

    Interessante Fakten

    Joseph Wagner ist der jüngste Sohn von Chuck Wagner, dem Gründer der legendären Caymus Vineyards in Napa. Joseph kannte sich schon früh in einem Weingut aus und begann im zarten Alter von 19 Jahren an der Seite seines Vaters bei Caymus zu arbeiten. 2001 beschloss er, seinen eigenen Pinot Noir aus einer Einzellage zu kreieren, den Belle Glos, der unter Sammlern und Weinliebhabern schnell Kultstatus erlangte.
