Geschichte

Die Familie Antinori stellt seit über 26 Generationen Wein in der Toskana her, seit Giovanni di Piero Antinori 1385 Mitglied der Florentiner Winzerzunft wurde. Heute stellen sie auf verschiedenen Weingütern in der Toskana und in den besten Weinregionen in Kalifornien, Chile, Ungarn und Malta hervorragende Weine her. Das Weingut Tenuta Guado al Tasso liegt in der renommierten DOC Bolgheri an der toskanischen Küste.

Durch die Nähe der Weinberge zum Meer herrscht hier ein mildes Klima mit kühlenden Brisen in den heißen Sommermonaten und die gut drainierenden Schwemmlandböden sorgen dafür, dass die Reben tief graben müssen, um an Wasserquellen zu gelangen. Die Antinori-Reben sind außerdem am Fuße des Amphitheaters von Bolgheri gepflanzt, einer herrlichen, von sanften Hügeln umgebenen Ebene, die ein einzigartiges Mikroklima schafft, das eine langsame Reifung und die Entwicklung eines intensiven, komplexen Geschmacksprofils in den Trauben begünstigt.
