    Die Domaine Latour-Giraud ist seit Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts eine Hochburg großer Burgunderweine. Heute wird sie von Jean-Pierre Latour geleitet, der Qualität über Quantität und Respekt für das Land über alles andere stellt.

    Die Domaine besteht aus bescheidenen 10 Hektar, die über das beste Weinanbaugebiet in Meursault verteilt sind. Jean-Pierre setzt eine Vielzahl von Techniken ein, um die reine Essenz des Terroirs zum Ausdruck zu bringen, darunter natürliche Hefen, biologischer Weinbau und die Abfüllung seiner Weine ohne Filterung. Cuvee Charles Maxime wird aus 100 % Chardonnay hergestellt, eine kompromisslose und köstliche Widerspiegelung des Meursault-Terroirs.

    Dieser Cuvee ist ein Zweispänner, angetrieben von einer perfekten Balance aus reicher Frucht und drahtiger Säure. Im Bouquet zeigen sich üppige Noten von Zitrone, Haselnuss, Mineralität und Butter. Das Mundgefühl ist cremig und dicht, mit wirbelnden Fruchtaromen von Ananas, grünem Apfel, Melone und Birne. Während sich der Wein entwickelt, können Sie Elemente von Grasigkeit, Mineralität und einer subtilen Salinität entdecken. Er gipfelt in einem langen Abgang mit einem Hauch von Blumigkeit. Charles Maxime ist der perfekte Wein, um die obere Schicht des Chardonnay zu erkunden. Erwägen Sie, ihn alleine zu trinken – oder ihn mit zartem, fein strukturiertem Fisch und weißem Fleisch in einer cremigen Sauce zu kombinieren.
